The Wisconsin Badgers are headed for arguably the most important game of the season. Sure, it feels like we say that every week, but if you asked any Badger fan which game they would want to win the most between UCLA, USC, and Iowa, it would be this one: the rivalry against the Hawkeyes. The schedule also gets a lot more manageable for the Badgers after this one.

Wisconsin fans really want to see Luke Fickell take down the Kirk Ferentz Hawkeyes. Saturday will have fans tuned in all the way.

Here's all the details you will want to know, it's a Game Day Guide.

Iowa injury report

The big news for Iowa came out earlier this week when Kamari Moulton was ruled out for the rest of the season. That's their top running back and will certainly change the dynamics of the game.

Weather forecast in Iowa City, Iowa

Iowa City looks to be in good shape for football on Halloween. There's a chance of some rain, but with a high of 64 degrees, the sun should be breaking through.

Wisconsin and Iowa series history

Wisconsin goes from one of the youngest matchups to one of the oldest. Last week's game against USC was a reminder of what's new in the Big Ten. But for Iowa and Wisconsin, this one goes all the way back to 1894 (Wisconsin won that one 44-0). This game on Saturday will be the 100th meeting all-time between Wisconsin and Iowa.

  • All-time meetings: 99
  • Wisconsin all-time record vs. USC: 49-48-2
  • Last meeting: 10/11/2025, 37-0 LOSS

The last few years have not been kind to Wisconsin in this rivalry, as the Hawkeyes have won four straight. Luke Fickell is looking to finally get the Heartland Trophy back.
