The Wisconsin Badgers are looking for a big rebound this week after dropping a frustrating one in Pasadena, California, last week. The good news is that the Badgers get to be at home in Camp Randall to take on USC. The bad news is, it doesn't get easier as the Trojans are ranked No. 16 in the nation and just spent a week on bye, figuring out the Badgers.

Wisconsin has a chance to have a big offensive game, as USC is one of the poorest passing offenses in the Big Ten. However, they also have one of the best passing attacks. So it's really a good news, bad news situation. Let's dive into the game day odds and a couple of final predictions.

The spread hasn't really moved all this week. It opened at 2.5 with USC as the favorites, and it's ending that way. It moved to 3.5 in favor of the Trojans a few times but never stuck for too long. The biggest thing that has changed is the over/under.

It was in the low 40s to start the week, and now it's over 50. That goes to show what the bettors and Vegas are thinking about the two defenses. While it's not a barn burner at only 50 points, it's more than it started.

Wisconsin vs. USC game prediction

When doing these predictions, it is always the most fun to start with the Vegas prediction. While Vegas or FanDuel doesn't just say, "We predict the final score to be X-X," you can do the math based on all the lines we are given. With a 2.5 spread and a 50.5 over/under, we can figure out that Vegas is predicting the final score of 27–24 USC. This is technically the over, but it's also a realistic football score.

Now, let's make our own prediction. This is seriously a tough one to predict because Wisconsin's passing attack has been a weakness, and USC's passing defense is their weakness. We can also flip it and say that Wisconsin's passing defense is their strength, but USC's passing attack is their strength. So what are we doing? This is probably why Vegas has moved the over/under a ton. However, we have to land somewhere.

BoH prediction: Wisconsin wins 28-24

Why Wisconsin? It felt like they could have beaten UCLA too, but the momentum continued to be stopped dead by the officials. I also hope that Jeff Grimes has learned that Colton Joseph needs to play in rhythm to be effective. The UCLA game was very obvious for that, and USC will give him plenty of opportunities to get in rhythm. Let's find the win.
