With a loss at UCLA and a win against Nebraska, where will Wisconsin land in AP Top-25: Prediction

Last week, Wisconsin rocketed up the AP Top-25 poll, jumping from 24 all the way up to 18. After an up-and-down pair of games this week, how will they fare in the latest rankings set to drop tomorrow?

Losing a heartbreaker to UCLA on Tuesday certainly stung in the moment. It was a very winnable game, and the Badgers led for most of the second half. As much as it hurt fans to see, it most likely won't hurt Wisconsin's ranking too badly. UCLA is riding a three-game win streak after dropping their previous four and will almost certainly receive a few votes in the poll on Monday.

The Badgers' dominant win over Nebraska probably will have a similarly minimal impact on their ranking. Although it's a win, Nebraska is near dead last in the Big Ten and doesn't do much to move the needle. It will all come down to what the teams ranked near Wisconsin did over the week.

Where will Greg Gard and the Badgers end up in Top-25 poll?

The first four teams immediately in front of the Badgers all suffered losses as well this week, which could bode well for Wisconsin. Illinois, Oregon, Ole Miss and Mississippi State all lost and could slip down past Wisconsin. Only three of the seven teams below Wisconsin in the Top 25 escaped the week unscathed, so there are also not many teams who could usurp the Badgers.

So, where do we see the Badgers falling in tomorrow's poll? They didn't do a lot to either help or hurt their resume, and many of the other teams around them fell to much inferior opponents, so it's likely Wisconsin stays pretty close to their No. 18 spot.

AP Top-25 Poll Prediction: 19

The Wisconsin Badgers will take on Maryland on the road in their next game.
