Wisconsin Badgers: Injury Report at MSU
By Tyler Hunt
Injuries Plaguing All Sides of the Ball for the Badgers
Injuries are a common instance in football, and for the Badgers they are striking every side of the football. The latest injury news is that kicker Rafael Gaglianone will miss Saturday’s game with a back injury. Gaglianone injured his back sometime this week and was not able to get his back ready for Saturday’s game. Gaglianone is 7 for 8 on the season, and knocked in the game winner against LSU.
The Badgers have adopted the next man up theory all season, and will continue that with place kicker Andrew Endicott taking over the place kicker duties. Endicott, a senior from Roseville, CA will step into the kicking role on Saturday. While he has not attempted a field goal this season, the staff is confident in Endicott’s ability to step up when called on for the Badgers.

Wisconsin will also be without left gaurd Jon Dietzen, and Micah Kapoi is still listed as questionable so the offensive line will likely be shuffled around again this season. The hope is that Kapoi will be able to go come game time.
Running back Bradrick Shaw is listed as out as well for the Badgers while Deal and Clement are listed as questionable. It appears as though Clement will be able to play in at least a minimum role as he was able to do much more in practice yesterday than in previous days said Coach Chryst. The hope is that Deal is able to go as well in the same limited role, allowing for the usual rotation to keep the backs fresh. Troy Laufenberg and Sam Brodner are the other two backs on the roster, both Freshman, and could be called about if the others are unable to go.
Natrell Jamerson and Chris Orr will continue to be out on the defensive side, but the rest of the rotation is healthy on the defensive side of the ball.
The next man up mentality has never been more prominent than right now for Wisconsin. With many question marks on all sides of the ball the solution is for those who are called upon to step up and fill their role on Saturday afternoon.
