Wisconsin is trending toward another 2027 recruit. This time, a 3-star linebacker from Goodyear, Arizona. Nathan Jones was recently offered by the Badgers, and yet it's taken no time at all for Wisconsin to rise to the top of his list. So much so that Nick Osen and Jon McNamara have already predicted he will be the next recruit to commit to Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers.

Jones received his Wisconsin offer on May 8th, and quickly the Badger staff was able to get him to schedule an official visit at the end of the month, May 28-31. Now, there's some growing confidence that he may be committing around the same time, or even sooner.

Jones now holds 15 offers, and most of the top programs have shown up in the last month, including Wisconsin. The 3-star linebacker olds offers from programs like Arizona, Kansas State, Florida State, and North Carolina. Yet, multiple recruiting experts say that Wisconsin is the team to beat.

This may end up being one of Tuf Borland's first recruits to commit from his recruiting plate. The newly installed inside linebackers coach is his primary recruiter. There may not be a better person to believe in you than Borland, who was a very accomplished linebacker himself at Ohio State.

If Jones is to jump into the fold, Wisconsin's already impressive top-15 recruiting class for 2027 would add another good player. Jones' recruiting ranking doesn't do him justice as he's seemingly been flying under the radar, but now programs are starting to notice him.

He's 6'3 and 230 pounds and has the frame and size to fit perfectly in the Badgers system. He would join recently committed Keaton Wollan as one of the two linebackers in the class. However, right now, Jones is just predicted to come to Madison; Borland and Fickell still need to close.
