The Wisconsin Badgers hosted an offensive linemen / defensive linemen camp this last weekend. The goal is not only to help rising high school students develop their skills but also to keep an eye on some of the rising stars in the Midwest. Offensive line coach Eric Mateos has run camps like this everywhere he's been as a coach, and he has publicly said he always sends out at least one offer after each camp. He did it again for the Badgers.
There's always some under-the-radar recruit that showcases their talent and jumps onto the scene. For Wisconsin's camp, there were actually two (maybe three) on each side of the ball. Each standout performer walked away with an offer. This time, it was 2028 defensive lineman Elijah Willis and 2029 offensive lineman Dorian Johnson.
Wisconsin also had some of its own recruits back on campus to be part of this camp, like Cole Reiter, Ethan McIntosh, and more. They clearly showed why they are Wisconsin commits and top-rated recruits, but this article is about the two rising high school underclassmen.

Willis was the MVP of the defensive side of the ball. He's a junior in high school, and next year he will be working on his list of schools to attend. On3.com already has him as a 3-star prospect, and 24/7 Sports has yet to rank him, but does show that he has nine offers already from programs like Iowa, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Willis is a big player and plays strong at 6'4 and 260 pounds. He has been starting to show up on college programs' interest lists, and it's because of impressive performances, as he showed at Wisconsin's camp. He spoke with Evan Flood about taking his shot and letting Wisconsin know who he is; he did exactly that.
This is definitely a player to watch and one that could easily be a 4-star recruit this time next year, and hopefully high on the Wisconsin Badgers.
Wisconsin also found an unheard of recruit in the 2029 class: OL Dorian Johnson

Johnson is an intriguing player because he wasn't anywhere in the picture before this camp. At least not outside of high school circles. Dorian Johnson is only a sophomore in high school, but he's 6'7 and 280 pounds. He could end up being the top player in the state of Wisconsin by the time he's a senior; he's that good.
Johnson impressed Mateos and was the one who got the coveted offer from the camp. It helps that he's an in-state kid, and Wisconsin is the first program in on him. 24/7 Sports had to even set up a profile for him because he was unheard of before this camp. His quote about the Badgers offer will make you smile, "It's surreal. I came out here, put a lot of hard work in. Home state, I always loved the Badgers."
Wisconsin O-Line coach @coachmateos has always offered at least one player at each O-Line camp in his career. And on Sunday, he kept that streak rolling with an emerging in-state standout #Badgers

The camp was a big success for both the recruits and players who attended, and for Wisconsin, which found talent it had yet to discover. Hopefully, both of these offers pay dividends for the Badgers.
