 Jared Abbrederis

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

I fear Abbrederis may suffer the same fate as Nick Toon – a receiver with promise, but has history of injuries and is destined to ride the bench. There is a chance he goes to a team with sudden need at the third receiver spot, like Denver or a team with a banged up corps like Atlanta. I don’t see Abbrederis falling low enough for Denver to take him in the 5th, nor do I see Atlanta reserving a roster sport below Harry Douglas and Devin Hester, but I do think the Colts go WR heavy in their draft.

– Jon Rzepecki Colts R5 No. 166

Abbrederis is an underrated player in this draft and whoever lands him will get a great football player. The one drawback on Jared is his injury history, mainly concussions. He is, however a balanced player that can give you production. I see him going in the third or fourth round to a team that is in desperate need of a receiver.

– Taylor Johnson Panthers R4 No. 128

He is a precise route runner (was noted as the best route runner at the Senior Bowl) and is sure-handed. There is a plethora of teams looking to bolster their depth at WR but only a few make sense to draft him. I see Abbrederis as an early third round draft pick. In my eyes, the Raiders, Rams or the Jets will bring him in. He would add instant talent to any of these squads without bringing any drama. He was never known for speaking out or getting into trouble in Madison.

– Danny Zillmer Jets R3 No. 80

Abbrederis runs excellent routes and isn’t afraid to go across the middle, but his deceptive speed and elusiveness make him a deep threat as well as a strong slot receiver. The Patriots will be looking to add a receiver, but they likely won’t draft one in the first two rounds. Abbrederis would be a good fit, with a chance to play on the edge and in the slot when the oft-injured Amendola is down.
