Pedersen screams Packers doesn’t he? After Green Bay will likely draft a more suitable tight end like Iowa’s C.J. Fiedorowicz in the first three rounds, the Packers will be in prime position to get Pedersen late with their final pick of the fifth. It could all happen if it weren’t for Jacksonville needing a suitable complement for Marcedes Lewis.

– Jon Rzepecki Jaguars R5 No. 159

Some have him going late in the draft.  Others have him completely off the draft board. I think he could do well playing the next-gen, hybrid type TE where teams can split him out wide if needed. I don’t see him starting right away, but in the right system he could really flourish. A team like Atlanta Falcons or Detroit could take him in the seventh round.

I think a team will take him in the final round as a shot in the dark. I say this because of Wisconsin’s recent success with tight ends in the NFL. If not the Falcons, the Seahawks may grab him with the 247th pick. Yes, Pederson will end up with a team with a bird mascot. At least, I think he will. At the very least he’ll be drafted unlike how many people feel.
