Lance Zierlein: 24 overall – Arizona Cardinals
Charles Davis: 17 overall – San Diego Chargers
Daniel Jeremiah: 27 overall – Dallas Cowboys
No surprises here, as the mockers like fits in Dallas, Arizona, and San Diego.
We’ve talked about all of those landing spots expect San Diego, which I think is an interesting situation.
The Chargers lost Ryan Mathews to free agency, but still have a decent crew in Danny Woodhead, Donald Brown, Ronnie Brown, and Branden Oliver. All solid names, but there’s no star potential.
San Diego would present another low-pressure spot for Gordon to find himself, with plenty of supporting characters to help him along the way. Woodhead is a great third down receiver and blocker, Donald Brown has shown flashes of being a pretty good running back, and Branden Oliver surprised as an undrafted player last year when injuries thrust him into the starting gig.
Gordon would likely thrive in San Diego, and would have the opportunity to be “the guy” amongst a group of supporting characters.
