Kaminsky was selected 9th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets, and figures to immediately play a large role for his new NBA team.
Kaminsky played 19.7 minutes per game in eight preseason games for the Hornets this fall. He averaged 7.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists over that period.
Kaminsky will be heavily used in pick and pop scenarios for the Hornets this year. He will likely be the primary backup to starting center Al Jefferson.
Kaminsky and the Hornets kick off the 2015-16 NBA season Wednesday night against the Miami Heat.
