I’ll break the rules a bit here and lump together two guys who make up the interior of a very scary defensive group for the Badgers.

True freshman inside linebacker Chris Orr and fellow inside backer redshirt freshman T.J. Edwards may be young, but they’re tearing up opposing offenses. They’re a major reason teams are averaging under 100 rushing yards per game against the Badgers.
Edwards leads the team with 58 total tackles, and had an unprecedented 16 tackles two weeks ago against Purdue. His 28 solo tackles are tied for the team lead, and he adds 4.5 tackles for a loss, four pass breakups, a forced fumble and a quarterback hit.
Orr, who worked his way into the starting lineup early in the season as a true freshman, has been stellar since, and is third on the team with 44 total tackles. His 23 solo tackles are third-best on the team.
The inside duo is a fearsome pairing, and has been clogging the middle of the field all season.
A strong showing Saturday for the duo might turn into a nightmare for Rutgers.
