Get hyped for the Wisconsin football team to take on LSU in Green Bay

The Green Bay Packers released a hype video Thursday for the upcoming Wisconsin football game featuring the Badgers and the LSU Tigers, to be played this fall at historic Lambeau Field.

The game, which is now called the Carmex Lambeau Field College Classic, will kick off the season for Wisconsin and LSU on Sept. 3, 2016.

The Badges and Tigers met two years ago in the 2014 season opener, the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Tigers prevailed with a fourth quarter comeback on the way to a 28-24 victory.

This year’s matchup will mark the third straight game that the Badgers play an SEC opponent to open the season, as Wisconsin squared off against Alabama at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The Badgers will look to earn their first victory in this stretch of season-opening marquee matchups, and will face a tough LSU squad in the process.

The Tigers went 9-3 last season and won their bowl game against Texas Tech, although they did lose three of their final four regular season games. Wisconsin had to worry about Alabama running back Derrick Henry, and will have to figure out how to handle LSU workhorse Leonard Fournette this season.

The Badgers likely won’t be lucky enough to keep Fournette to 18 yards on 8 carries like they did two seasons ago when he was a freshman.

The Badgers are coming off of a strong finish to the 2015 season as well, as Wisconsin won their bowl game to finish 10-3 on the year. The LSU game is the first of three non-conference matchup against bowl teams from last season, and Wisconsin’s Big Ten schedule is as tough as it gets this season.

Here’s how the Green Bay Packers hype the upcoming Carmex Lambeau Field College Classic.

The game will be only the fourth college football game ever to be played at Lambeau, and will be the first college game there in over 30 years. The three matchups at Lambeau Field have been a pair of St. Norbert College vs. Fordham University games in 1982 and 1983, and a matchup between St. Norbert and Mankato State College in 1960.
