The Wisconsin Badgers will play the Xavier Musketeers in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament
Following a 47-43 win over the No. 10 seed Pittsburgh Panthers, the Wisconsin Badgers have survived and will advance to play the No. 2 Xavier Musketeers on Sunday in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
The Wisconsin Badgers, who defeated Pittsburgh 47-43 in an extremely low scoring affair, survived despite having a terrible night shooting the basketball.
They advance, and now know they will play Xavier on Sunday in the round of 32.

The Badgers and Musketeers will play at approximately 7:45 p.m. CT Sunday night.
It will be the second matchup between the two teams in the NCAA Tournament, and the fifth time overall. The teams are 2-2 in the four matchups they have, with Xavier winning the lone tourney game.
That was in 2009 when the No. 12 seed Badgers were unable to upset the No. 4 seed Musketeers.
Marcus Landry scored 18 points for the Badgers and Trevon Hughes added 17, but no other Wisconsin player scored more than Jason Bohannon‘s five points as Wisconsin fell to Xavier 60-49.
The Badgers collectively shot 28.6 percent in that loss, and hit just 3-of-20 three-point attempts in the loss.
Xavier was led by 15 points from D.J. Raymond and 10 points from Derrick Brown. Xavier was then upset by No. 1 seed Pittsburgh in the 2009 Sweet Sixteen.
This time around, Wisconsin will be looking to slow down leading scorer Bluiett, who averages 15.5 points per game. Edmond Sumner, Myles Davis and Farr each average double-digit scoring for the Musketeers.
