Badger of Honor wants to find a good home for Bronson Koenig in the NBA
Wisconsin’s Bronson Koenig was not invited to participate in the NBA Combine. Nonetheless, Koenig has been doing individual NBA team workouts as Badger of Honor reported previously.
It is virtually certain that Koenig will not be selected in the NBA Draft. However, that does not mean his NBA dream is over. There will still be opportunities to earn a place in the NBA during NBA Summer League in the beginning of July.
There is also through the NBA G League (formerly the NBA Development League). Badger of Honor posted earlier on good landing spots for Wisconsin’s Nigel Hayes in the NBA. So we’ll run through the same exercise with Koenig.

We’re looking for teams that could use help at either guard spot. Koenig is going to shoot his way into the NBA. His defensive is adequate and he’s not an explosive athlete. Nonetheless, he showed the ability to get to the rim at Wisconsin. Like most Badger point guards, he takes care of the ball. But his defining trait is that sweet sweet shooting stroke.
For his career, Koenig shot 41.2 percent from the floor, including 44.3 percent from inside the arc and 38.9 percent beyond it. That three-point shooting percentage is weighed down by him shooting just 32.8 percent during his freshman season when he only attempted 67 total triples. He shot nearly a full point higher, 39.7 percent, from deep during his sophomore – senior seasons in Madison. His “True Shooting Percentage” calculated with all field goal and free throw attempts was 55.2 percent during his college career.
