Rutgers: Blessuan Austin, CB

As noted in our post on the Big Ten West opponents, Wisconsin Football is losing Leo Musso from the secondary.   The 2nd half meltdown against Penn State in the Big Ten title game showed that the Badger pass rush won’t always bail out the secondary.  Blessuan Austin from Rutgers was 2nd in the Big Ten in passes defended.   Ausin was an honorable mention All Big Ten honoree in 2016.  He also chipped in 41 tackles and a sack which is always nice to see CBs willing to play physical football.  At 6’1″ 195 pounds he would added some needed size to a short Wisconsin secondary.
