Every NFL team just cut their rosters down to 53 players. There are still plenty of former Badgers in the NFL.

After the cuts were made this past weekend, 26 former Badgers are in the NFL.

There are former Badgers who have made a name for themselves in the NFL. J.J Watt has cemented himself as one of the best defensive player in the league right now.

Russell Wilson is still considered an elite quarterback with the threat of his arm and legs. Joe Thomas is a future Hall of Fame offensive lineman.

Melvin Gordon then on the other hand has momentum after a breakout 2016 campaign.

Offensive linemen are popular among former Badgers in the NFL. In addition to Thomas, there are a few more that are starters. Travis Frederick is the center piece of the best O-Line in football down in Dallas. Kevin Zeitler is joining Thomas in Cleveland this year. Ricky Wagner is now a Detroit Lion and Rob Havenstein is still a as a Ram.

A few former Badgers were able to have great preseasons and land a spot on teams. Jared Abbrederis is running as a receiver with the Lions. Corey Clement impressed as an undrafted free agent and will be in the Eagles backfield.

A few rookies who are former Badgers landed spots and will have a lot to prove this season. Ryan Ramczyk and T.J. Watt were high draft picks and are in line to see production. Vince Biegel is hurt, but still has a chance to make an impact with the hometown Packers.
