Honorable Mention: Rob Havenstein

Right Tackle, LA Rams-3rd Season

Here is yet another former Badger in the NFL playing on the offensive line. Havenstein just makes the honorable mention list because he’s only been in the league for three years.

If he continues to be a mainstay on the Rams line, look for him to make a move up the list. It usually takes a couple years for lineman to really show their impact.

He was selected in the second round of the 2015 draft by the Rams. Havenstein played in 13 games and started every single one of them. He has been a constant name during his time with the St. Louis Rams. He was then named to the 2015 NFL All-Rookie Team.

Havenstein stayed with the organization and found himself being a regular on the right side of the line. He played and started in 15 games at either tackle or guard. He will once again be the man at the right tackle position. Havenstein is listed as the starting right tackle on the Rams depth chart to start the 2017 season.

The Rams are going to try and make it work with last year’s top overall draft pick, QB Jared Goff.  To succeed in the NFC West, a division loaded with elite defenses Goff will need time to throw.  Havenstein’s a big part of helping Goff’s development too.

Plenty of fantasy football owners are counting on Havenstein to pave the way for running back Todd Gurley to have a big 2017.
