Wisconsin Football stays perfect on the season with a win on the road in Bloomington against the Indiana Hoosiers. A choppy first half gave way to a dominating second for Bucky.
Wisconsin wins on the road 45-17 against the Indiana Hoosiers to improve to 9-0 on the season and 6-0 in Big Ten play. The 4th ranked Badgers can clinch the Big Ten West next week against Iowa.
The Badgers were perhaps fortunate to lead 14-10 at the half. But as is often the case, the final 30 minutes was all cardinal and white.
Wisconsin started well, holding the explosive Hoosiers to just 13 yards on five plays.

The Badgers drove 72 yards in nine plays before Alex Hornibrook threw a killer interception in the end zone on 3rd-and-goal.
Indiana responded with an 11-play 80-yard march to take the lead. The Hoosiers added to their advantage with a field goal after a Badger three-and-out.
That seemed to awaken Wisconsin who used Alex Hornibrook’s left arm to get on the board. The redshirt sophomore was 4/4 on the six play drive capped by an 18-yard pass to Alec Ingold.
Following an Indiana fumble, Hornibrook hit Quintez Cephus for a touchdown to claim the 14-10 lead that would hold until halftime.
Unfortunately, Cephus left the game with a lower leg injury that is quite concerning moving forward.
After the break it was all Wisconsin on the road. The Badgers drove 72 yards in just under six minutes for a field goal and then added a Jonathan Taylor touchdown run to pad the lead. Indiana answers with a quick touchdown.

However, the Hoosiers went interception, interception, turnover on downs on its final three meaningful possessions of the game. Wisconsin converted all three into touchdowns for the final margin.
If you were a Wisconsin doubter, congrats on getting to vote in the College Football Playoff poll. That’s pretty neat. The first half probably justified your belief this team gets fat and happy against a soft schedule.

If you’re a Wisconsin believer, sorry you don’t get a vote in the College Football Playoff poll. That would be neat. The second half is more of what you expect. Suffocating Wisconsin defense and efficient offense. However, injuries to key players and some fortunate fumble recoveries should give you pause.
