Wisconsin will beat Penn State

The only way anybody is picking Wisconsin to beat Penn State is because Penn State just lost to Michigan State. Nobody thinks the Badgers, after that showing against Michigan, can go to Happy Valley and win because they think the Badgers are that good, right?

More from Badger of Honor

There has to be a lot of disappointed Penn State fans out there after what their team has done in the last month. Losing a big lead to Ohio State and then following up a bye week with a home loss to Michigan State just isn’t how they thought the season would go. The Nittany Lions have a few more tough games ahead still too. After they go to Indiana this week, they host Iowa, then go to the Big House to play Michigan.

The Badgers are in the perfect spot on Penn State’s schedule, just as Penn State is in the perfect spot on Wisconsin’s schedule. Penn State will be coming off two tough games, while Wisconsin will be coming off of three relatively easy games. (Northwestern fans, I respect your team. Please don’t take this to heart)

I also thought this was a winnable game all along for Wisconsin. In the offseason, I liked the Badgers to win this game while I thought they would lose at Michigan. Now it’s more evident than ever that Penn State is the more likely spot to get a big road win.

Penn State’s defense simply isn’t very good and the offense can get predictable at times. They’re going to be tough with Trace McSorley, but the Badgers can contain him with T.J. Edwards and Ryan Connelly.

I like Wisconsin’s chances to get that big statement win.
