Offensive Line

Guard – Jordan White

Wisconsin dipped into DeMatha Catholic twice in the same week, extending an offer to both Marshawn Lloyd and guard Jordan White.

The 6’3, 295-pounder is a 3-star prospect and ranks as the No. 577 overall player in his class. The Badgers join Virginia, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, and hometown program Maryland as the current contenders for White’s services.

The Terrapins may struggle to translate it into wins on the field, but they are always dangerous on the recruiting trail and defend the DMV area relatively well, so look out for them here. However, Wisconsin has had big victories in the area before, such as safeties Eric Burrell and the now-departed Patrick Johnson and running back Taiwan Deal, an alum of White’s high school, DeMatha Catholic. And of course, the Badgers are usually going to be held in high regard by offense line prospects.

Center – Josh Fryar

Beech Grove (Beech Grove, IN) center Josh Fryar is starting to blow up on the recruiting trail.

Wisconsin offered the nation’s No. 5 center and 3-star prospect last Monday, and since then, he has added two huge offers from Ohio State and Oregon. In addition, Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa State, and Purdue and Toledo were already in the mix. Notre Dame and Florida State are two schools of note who have not extended offers, but are interested.

The Badgers attempted to strike while the iron was hot, as Fryar was in Madison for a visit over the weekend.

Wisconsin is evidently looking to reload up front in this class, as the Badgers already have four commitments on the offensive line with Trey Wedig (Wales, WI), Jack Nelson (Stoughton, WI), Ben Barten (Stratford, WI) and Dylan Barrett (Saint Charles, IL), but continue to dish out offers.
