Wisconsin did well with the transfer portal, but that doesn't mean Luke Fickell and the Badgers didn't lose some players who will be frustrating to see in other uniforms. There are a handful that could make this list, from players who have only ever been in a Badgers uniform to athletes who would have made an impact this season. However, here are the top three that will hurt the most to see wearing other uniforms.

1. Preston Zachman

Zachman fits the bill of both a potential star (if he can stay healthy) for the Badgers and a player who has always worn the motion W. Zachman has transferred to the Indiana Hoosiers. He fits the Curt Cignetti prototype to a T; a grown man with lots of college experience ,but also can play at a high level. It will be very strange seeing Zachman in the Indiana red.

2. Dillin Jones

Jones was set to be the starting back again next season for the Badgers. There was excitement about his return after injury and the juice he provides from the backfield. He's a younger player with only really one year of seeing him in a Wisconsin uniform, so that part isn't as strange. Simply, having him move on is a "what could have been" weird. He's going to be wearing purple and gold at LSU now.

On the optimistic side, Luke Fickell adding Abu Sama III, Bryan Jackson, and Nate Palmer to the running back room is huge, and ideally, Jones won't even be missed in terms of explosion from the backfield.

3. Trech Kekahuna

The final choice was tough because it could have gone to someone else, like Joe Brunner or Jake Renfro, but Kekahuna offers a rare skill set in college football. He can be lined up anywhere and be used like a Swiss army knife. The Badgers were able to keep him from fully leaving last season, even though he entered the portal, but now he's officially off to North Carolina. It will be very strange to see him pacing the sidelines with Bill Belichick.
