Wisconsin won a big one against Michigan State today, 31-3. The defense was awesome, allowing some chunk plays but never letting the Spartans finish drives or compile many scoring chances. The Badgers' defense also made sure the Spartans weren't getting 4th-down conversions.

On the other hand, the offense was finally clicking. They started fast, kept the momentum going, and ended well. Luke Fickell even went for the "foot on throat," getting that final Malachi Coleman touchdown to make it 31-3. He usually doesn't do that, but this is a different Fickell. A coach who knows he needs to prove he belongs and he's elite THIS SEASON.

The Badgers move to 2-0 in the Big Ten and 4-1 overall. Great, amazing start to the season.

1. Colton Joseph

This was the rebound that Colton Joseph needed. He was pretty miserable in the win over Penn State until the end. All eyes were on him for this game versus Michigan State. He performed in an awesome way.

While he only completed nine passes, he made them count, with three of them being touchdowns. He made plenty of good decisions with the ball. Yet, where he was best was running the football. He was electric when he called his own number. His final rushing line was 141 yards and a big touchdown that came on a 47-yard rush.

Great game for QB1 and Wisconsin is going to need a bunch more of this version of Joseph.

2. Luke Fickell

Fickell needed another big win and, in reality, an easy one. Everyone thought the Penn State game would be the statement victory, but it turns out that Penn State may be hot garbage this season. So coming out and rocking Michigan State felt like a must. He coached his way into a great Big Ten win.

Fickell is still in the prove-it year, and a 2-0 start to conference play is a great way to prove it. Now, he has to keep stacking them and help the Badgers get back to glory.

3. Jacob Harris

A two-touchdown day after a walk-off win against Penn State last week is cool. Harris is becoming the red-zone threat that other teams will have to circle. While Harris only had two receptions, both of them were for touchdowns. He ended the day with two receptions for 35 yards and two touchdowns. That's a wild stat line, but it shows who Joseph is looking for when the Badgers are in the red zone.

4. Mason Posa

Posa was so good in this game. He and Cooper Catalano were flying around, and Catalano probably deserves a "winner" in this post-game report, but Posa had nine tackles, and eight of them were solo. He also was disruptive in the backfield and in the passing attack. Posa was literally flying around and being disruptive all over.

To Catalano's credit, he had 10 tackles; six of them were solo, and he had one pass deflection. That's a great day from the two-star Wisconsin Badgers.
