4-star QB Brodie McWhorter from Cartersville, Georgia, has decided to cut a couple of schools from his list. A month ago, he was down to five schools: Indiana, Colorado, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Wisconsin. Yesterday, he announced he was down to three and was moving up his commitment date from May 15 to May 1. McWhorter is down to Colorado, Indiana, and Mississippi State.
Rivals had him visiting from April 25-27 but there's no word on if that scheduled visit actually happened and there may be a very notable reason.
Thank you Lord! All are welcome this Thursday 12:30 at the Cass High School theatre!

QB Brodie McWhorter has cut his list to Indiana, Colorado, and Mississippi State
QB Brodie McWhorter, a 3-star QB by 247 and a 4-star by Rivals, has had a very interesting recruitment journey, originally committing to West Virginia but then backing off that commitment as more and more offers came in. He has 30 offers, and he has narrowed his final list to five schools, visiting four of them in April. He started by checking out Colorado and Coach Prime, then he went to Indiana and Mississippi State, finally coming to Wisconsin a few days ago.
It isn't overly surprising that he eliminated Auburn as he hasn't visited the school, and he seems ready to decide where he would like to play next year. The timing for eliminating Wisconsin came right after his reported visit. This isn't to say it didn't go well, but maybe he saw the fit, or the upcoming opportunity, or something that provided the clarity he needed to eliminate Wisconsin. The visit may not have even happened.
For Wisconsin just picked up another QB in the class in Ryan Hopkins, out of Mater Dei. This could easily mean that the mutual interest softened, and McWhorter decided to move on from Wisconsin. Either way, McWhorter is on to a different program.
Luke Fickell has been on a bit of a hot streak in recruiting lately in the spring recruiting, taking a commitment list of one and ending April with six players committed to the 2026 class.
