Recruiting for the 2026 class has really picked up for Wisconsin in the last few days. Luke Fickell has added multiple recruits over the last few weeks, and the class is now up to six commitments, ranking 34th in the nation by 247Sports. Though the recruit that has Wisconsin fans extremely curious is Amari Latimer out of Georgia, who is one of the most coveted running back prospects in the nation.
Latimer has reduced his list of 50+ offers to only six schools: FSU, Georgia, Michigan, Tennesee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
NEWS: 4-star RB Amari Latimer of Sandy Creek (Ga.) has 50+ offers and he is down to FSU, Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.

Amari Latimer is one of the most coveted RB recruits in the nation and Wisconsin is in his final 6
Amari Latimer is rated a 4-star recruit by every outlet and he's only getting stronger and faster as he enters into his senior season. 24/7 Sports has him listed as the 18th best running back recruit in the nation. He holds offers from the top programs.
His final six are among the best recruiting programs in the country, and it's exciting for Wisconsin fans to see the Badgers included among the final six. Here's the thing, the Badgers may even have an advantage that the other schools don't. No, it's not that they've produced elite running backs over the decades, though that is certainly true. It's that Latimer has a brother that plays on Wisconsin.
Wisconsin was able to add Geimere Latimer II from the transfer portal last season, out of Jacksonville State. While he's an exceptional player in his own right, it helped with the recruitment of Amari Latimer.
According to On3.com's Chad Simmons, he isn't far from making a decision on which school he will attend next season, which may not be particularly helpful for Wisconsin, as he has an official visit scheduled for the end of May. However, who knows what he's thinking about his college choice at this point? The fact that he narrowed it down to six without even completing all his visits is a bit surprising. We will see if Wisconsin can secure his commitment and land one of the most dynamic running backs in the nation.
