The Wisconsin Badgers have the opportunity to pick up their fourth commitment of the week after a very successful first official visit weekend. 4-star defensive back Mekhi Williams is set to announce his college choice later today at 4 pm (June 3) on the CBS Sports College Football YouTube Channel. The heavy favorite right now is Wisconsin.

The Badgers have picked up six 24/7 Sports Crystal Ball predictions for Mekhi Williams since his visit over the weekend. The social media post below is even dated, as it only shows four, but since it was posted, two others added a Wisconsin prediction: Zack Nagy and Andre Champagne.

It's not just 24/7 Sports that thinks the Badgers can get Williams to commit. On3.com also has a 98% prediction to the same end. This is great news for Wisconsin, Luke Fickell, and Robert Steeples. The Badgers aren't known for bringing in blue-chip defensive backs, and yet, this one feels close. Tomorrow will tell the tale.

Williams is a top defensive back in the country, listed as the No. 10 safety and the No. 10 player in Florida. Fickell has come out of nowhere with this recruiting class. If he can land Williams, this class will go from a top-20 class into a top-15 class.

The Badgers are listed as No. 18 in the 2027 recruiting class by 24/7 Sports, and with Williams, they will vault up to No. 14. That's if no other programs add between now and Williams' commitment.

He would be the fourth commitment from this last weekend. It started with 4-star wide receiver Jai Jones, and then it was 3-star edge, Nathan Jones. A couple of days passed, and 3-star DB Royalton Allen decided to commit, and Williams would make four. That's a hugely successful weekend, especially considering that Fickell only brought in six uncommitted recruits last weekend.
