The official visits are finally happening, and the first weekend has a ton of recruits on campus. Many of them are already committed, but there is one who seems like he's on the verge of committing. In the last two days, Wisconsin has picked up three crystal balls for defensive back Royalton Allen to choose the Badgers while in Madison.

Allen is a 3-star defensive back from California who has 18 offers and plenty of schools interested in bringing him in for a visit. As of now, though, Colorado State and BYU are the only other programs on his visit list.

Yet, Luke Fickell's goal is to make sure he never takes those visits and that he becomes the next committed Badger. The good news is, according to the recruiting insiders from 24/7 Sports, those chances continue to rise. Yesterday, Allen only had one Crystal Ball, and today, two more were added.

Allen is currently on campus with the Badgers and part of a big weekend for Wisconsin recruiting. He is joining about a dozen other already committed recruits. Recruits like Cole Reiter, Isaac Miller, and others are also working hard to ensure that the players on this visit who are yet to be committed do so before leaving.

Allen would be an important addition at a position of need. According to recruiting expert Greg Biggins, "Allen is a talented two-way player who could play corner, safety or receiver at the college level. He's being recruited primarily as a defensive back and where he eventually lines up will likely be determined by how big he is by the time he hits college."

Right now, Allen is mostly a safety and may stay as a safety in college, but with Robert Steeples being his primary recruiter for the Badgers, you can plan on seeing him move to defensive back and stay there. He's still doing some growing and developing, but at 6'0 and 175, he has the length and athleticism to be a high ceiling Big Ten corner.
