Star Alabama running back Jam Miller has suffered a significant injury ahead of his promising 2025 season for the Crimson Tide. According to the latest injury reports, they are estimating his return for the September 27th Georgia game. Which means the most likely scenario is that Miller will be out for the Wisconsin game on September 13th.

Star Alabama RB Jam Miller is most likely going to miss the September 13 game against the Badgers

The Badgers may have dodged a huge bullet, as Miller is one of the top running backs in the nation. He was also amazing against Wisconsin last season. He had nine carries for 71 yards and a touchdown. He broke one huge run for 34 yards that many Badger fans can still see vividly in their heads.
The Crimson Tide will have other really talented options behind Miller, but Miller is a different breed altogether. It most likely will be more of a committee by running back approach until Miller returns. That will have more of a three-headed monster approach with Richard Young, Daniel Hill, and Dre Washington.
The game appears to be the litmus test for the Badgers as to how this season will go, as it's the third game of the season and the first real big challenge. It's the game that's circled for many Wisconsin players and fans—a revenge game in Tuscaloosa.
The Crimson Tide, on the other hand, is looking towards that Georgia game and a potential top-10 matchup and their first SEC game of the season. There is a hope among many Badger fans that the Wisconsin game could be overlooked and set up a potential trap game for the Crimson Tide.
It does help not having to face Jam Miller, but the reality is, Alabama is a loaded team from top to bottom, and Wisconsin will need everything to find a way to win that week.
