Camp Randall has undergone a significant improvement in the lighting with brand new state-of-the-art LED fixtures. This new lighting will dramatically enhance the fan experience, especially for night games, and add another level to many of the best Wisconsin traditions. Not only that, but Wisconsin is going to be employing LED bracelets in the season opener that will create a light show unlike any in college football.
According to the Wisconsin athletic website, the LED lighting and bracelets will be activated and help fans participate in the light show that will happen during the halftime show of the season opener against Miami (OH). "The bracelet will be set to enhance Camp Randall traditions like the team runout, Jump Around, and more."

Wisconsin is experimenting with new lighting shows for its night games that will make the game-day experience insane
Camp Randall's new lighting has "47 color-changing" light fixtures that will "intensify" the game experience for fans. While there isn't an acknowledgement of how all this will play out beyond the Miami (OH) season opener, you can bet those fixtures aren't going to be turned on in regular mode all the time.
There is a bit of an experiment playing out with the way a night game feels in person and looks on TV while the nation watches. Fans may be frustrated with the August 28th Thursday night game to kick off the season, it's a game that the Big Ten is planning to market strongly as the kickoff to college football.
While Nebraska vs. Cincinnati will be taking place at the same time on ESPN, there will be many fans flipping back and forth and checking in on this new look Badgers. Wisconsin is looking to create a few viral moments with the gameday experience after investing heavily in LED lighting and giving bracelets to every fan. That could find a similar repeat in the next night game, which is TBD.
