The Badgers will host former ECU and West Virginia cornerback Andrew Wilson-Lamp this weekend according to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. He was a late entry to the portal due to ECU's bowl game on December 28th.

The 6-3 cornerback will have one year of eligibility remaining after playing three years at West Virginia and one season at Eastern Carolina. He had 24 tackles with one interception and one forced fumble with the Pirates in 2024. He was thrust into the starting lineup after fellow teammate and projected first round pick Shavon Revel was injured.

A former four-star recruit, Wilson Lamp was originally a wide receiver and ranked as the No. 37 wide-out in the country in the 2021 class. He made the transition to corner at the college level with mixed results, but his elite speed and athleticism make him an attractive add to the Badger secondary.

Badgers Could Boost Secondary with Andrew Wilson-Lamp

Wisconsin is in desperate need of some talant at cornerback after seeing most of the group leave for the transfer portal. Wilson-Lamp would provide valuable experience and length on the outside for the Badgers. Assuming Xavier Lucas is eventually granted his release, the Badgers will be looking for another cornerback to start alongside Ricardo Hallman. The team recently landed corner Geimere Latimer would could also potentially claim a starting job as well.

Given the quick timing of his visit, the Badgers seem to be in the driver's seat for landing Wilson-Lamp, and he could provide a big boost to their thin secondary.
