Former safety who played in the Rose Bowl for the Badgers, Eric Burrell, was watching Wisconsin unable to compete against Ohio State on Saturday. He sent out a social media post that suggested a plan if Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell were to be fired. Burrell said, "Bring some Alumni back and let's run it."
Maybe he's suggesting this as a permanent solution, or it could be that he thinks, as an interim, they could help right the ship. Either way, he's one of many former players joining the chorus of wanting to see a change. Needing to see a change. Except there's one former player that isn't sold on firing Fickell yet, and he's the one who has to make the decision.
Bring some Alumni Back and let’s run it🥺💪🏽🤷🏽♂️

Chris McIntosh's stubbornness with Luke Fickell is frustrating former Badgers and Wisconsin fans

Chris McIntosh, also a former Wisconsin player and now the Badger Athletic Director, seems to be leaning towards letting this season play out. Even in each game, it seems that Wisconsin is becoming less and less competitive. He's the only former player right now that matters.
Yet, if enough former Badgers and fans continue to apply the pressure and if boosters can help chip in the buyout money, maybe things will change. Right now, it doesn't seem like it, and former players like Burrell will remain frustrated on Saturdays.
With two games in a row where the Wisconsin football team was unable to score, they now head to Autzen Stadium and have to play the No. 7-ranked team in the country. It could be more of the same, and it will be on one of the worst historic runs ever for the Badgers. The program has had rough seasons and eras, but this could end up being the worst of the worst.
