Myles Burkett came to the Badgers as a 3-star local recruit from Franklin, Wisconsin. He was the 2021 Wisconsin AP and Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior in high school. He won it the year after Hunter Wohler won it in 2020. As a true freshman, he saw action in two games. In 2023, more transfers came in, and he decided to transfer to Albany.

After a year in Albany, Burkett transferred again to Eastern Kentucky, and they just posted on their social media that he would be their guy for this coming season: QB1.

Burkett was known as a dual-threat quarterback coming out of high school. He had incredible numbers with 6,483 yards and 71 touchdowns passing, and he rushed for 1,054 yards and 14 touchdowns. His athleticism coming into Wisconsin was his biggest strength.

It's hard to know where the breakdown was for Burkett at Wisconsin; maybe he didn't wait long enough, or maybe he didn't have the tools to make the jump as expected. Either way, he decided to go to the FCS level for a year and see what would come of it.

He said he went to Albany to win a national championship at the FCS level, but the team struggled badly last year. They went 4-8, going 2-6 in their conference. Burkett wasn't amazing, but he wasn't the reason the team struggled. He ended the season with 1,840 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had seven interceptions to go with it. He used his feet 76 times for a total rushing of 134 yards.

He's now looking once again to get things going for his career and maybe even a FCS championship, this time at Eastern Kentucky.
