Wisconsin fans have been eagerly watching the rise of former Badger Zack Baun all season and the ascension isn't over yet. He has now led his team to the Super Bowl in a gutty performance that had him all over the field. He has proven that he not only deserves to be a starter in the NFL but that he is one of the best players on the defensive side of the ball. He's in the conversation for the Defensive Player of the Year award, and this game against the Washington Commanders only further proves it.

Zack Baun dominates the Washington Commanders and leads the way defensively to the Super Bowl

His stats and highlights are insane. Remember, this isn't some run-of-the-mill team they are playing; this is the two best NFC teams. This is essentially the semi-final of NFL football. Watch this replay:

What a pursuit and a play by Baun. That's not it, you also will want to see this highlight too:

The funny part of that play for UW fans is that while Baun clearly recovered the ball, and it did end up being the Eagle's ball, the player that came out of the pile was Tyler Biadasz, a former Wisconsin teammate of Baun. It's plays like these that make people, and not just friendly Eagles or Badgers fans, say that Baun deserves to be the Defensive Player of the Year.

Emmanuel Acho almost gave away Baun's final stat line, but he only gave you three-quarters of it. It's a sight to behold and should make all Wisconsin fans proud.

Zack Baun's final stat line:

12 total tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 1 tackle for loss. Out of those 12 tackles, eight of them were solo tackles. He's an absolute force on the defensive side of the ball and his play helped the Philadelphia Eagles reach the Super Bowl.
