The NFL Rookie minicamps mostly came and went without much to talk about or report. The Wisconsin players who were invited to participate got to try out, and it's not evident yet whether they will make a roster. The draft picks were able to settle, and the UDFA ( signings) got to make a case for staying on the roster. One former Badger, however, will be looking for another team to sign with and try out for after not sticking with the New York Giants.

Former Wisconsin defensive back RJ Delancy III signed a UDFA deal with the New York Giants but wasn't able to retain his position after rookie minicamp. The Giants cut two defensive backs from their UDFA signings and signed another defensive back and a wide receiver.

According to the New York Giants official website, "In the wake of rookie minicamp, the New York Giants signed undrafted cornerback T.J. Moore, who was there on a tryout basis. The team also re-signed wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey three days after they released him."

Those two decisions demanded two cuts to accompany the signings. The Giants decided to cut Delancy and Tommy McCormick from the Idaho Vandals. This means Delancy will need to look for another opportunity in the NFL, as the Giants have already moved on.

However, as the quote above showcases, the players at the bottom of an NFL roster is a constant churn of in and out. Delancy may get another chance with the New York Giants but also could need to find another opportunity elsewhere. He didn't showcase enough to the Giants, or maybe purely for roster crunch status; he is forced to move on. The nature of the NFL is a brutal business for players at the bottom of the depth chart.
