Unfortunately, we saw this coming from a mile away. Matter of fact, we saw it coming all the way from Iowa City. In the Week 10 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Wisconsin Badgers defense simply had no answer for the Iowa rushing attack.

The fact that Mike Tressel's defense allowed 329 yards on the ground is something that still keeps people up at night. It was no surprise that Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson put on a show, as he posted 135 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries.

As things stand, Johnson is No. 2 in the country with his 1,279 rushing yards, behind only Boise State phenom Ashton Jeanty. Johnson is also tied for second in the nation with 19 rushing touchdowns (he also has one receiving for 20 total). His 7.5 yards per carry are downright impressive too. With all of that said, Johnson has been getting some Heisman love in recent days, which makes things sting even more for the Badgers.

Kaleb Johnson put on a show against the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 10

"The word Heisman immediately embarrassed Johnson in a postgame interview. He clenched his lips and said, “I’m a humble person. So, whatever goes out there, goes out there, and whatever is said is said.” Then he quickly deflected to the team’s success.

Johnson doesn’t get off that easily, not when he has scored a touchdown in all nine games or at least two seven times. Johnson’s 20 touchdowns tied 2008 Doak Walker Award winner Shonn Greene for the most in Iowa history. Greene, who finished sixth in Heisman voting, was a consensus All-American and set the record in 13 games."

The Athletic's Scott Dochterman

In a new piece for The Athletic, national reporter Scott Dochterman showed Johnson plenty of love and rightfully so. What he has been able to get done on the gridiron this year has been unreal, with countless people watching him tear up the Badgers' defense on NBC.

Iowa was able to capture The Heartland Trophy, posting a monster win over Wisconsin. Johnson was a superstar in that game, which was no surprise, as he's been electric all year long. A trip to the Heisman Trophy ceremony could be on the way for him this winter if he keeps playing so well. If he does, it will be another reason for Wisconsin fans to be furious with Luke Fickell and Tressel.
