Shocking news came out of Pittsburgh yesterday as former Wisconsin Badger TJ Watt was rushed to the hospital due to a partially collapsed lung. He was getting a lung treatment at the Steelers team facility, but something went awry, and Watt had to be transferred to the hospital. Today, his brother JJ Watt gave an encouraging update on his health.

On social media, Watt posted, "Recovery timeline is still TBD, but all went well, and he is being released from the hospital today."

Adam Schefter, ESPN Insider, followed up with the surety that TJ Watt won't be playing on Monday night for the Steelers against the Miami Dolphins. Which almost feels like an obvious injury update, but with no official timeline, it probably will be on a week-to-week basis.

While he was rushed to the hospital, a collapsed lung can lead to death if not immediately treated; the lung actually heals remarkably fast. Since it was punctured and not injured in a violent way (with broken ribs or other problems around the lung), he could be back within a couple of weeks and probably no more than four weeks. That's just speculating based on other lung injuries.

Either way, it was a scary situation, and the latest update from JJ Watt is very encouraging for both Wisconsin fans, Steeler fans, and really anyone who knows and cares about TJ Watt.

Watt signed a new deal in the offseason, and he's played in all 13 games with 53 tackles, seven sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and an interception. While the Steelers aren't playing great over the NFL season, currently sitting at 7-6 but it's enough to be first in the AFC North. They will want Watt back as soon as he's healthy.
