It's pretty obvious to the casual observer that the Wisconsin Badgers have a terrible offense. You don't even have to watch to see that because the scores reveal it week in and week out. Scored zero points against Iowa, 10 against both Michigan and Maryland, and 14 against Alabama. It's been downright abysmal. The latest points per game rankings reveal that Wisconsin is the worst among all Power 4 teams and the bottom six in the FBS.

In offensive yards per game, only North Carolina is worse among Power 4 teams. Those two stats show how woeful things actually are. Let's dig into the numbers a little deeper, and it gets worse.

Wisconsin is now the worst offense in all of the Power 4 conferences

Let's start with yards per game. Wisconsin is sitting at 292.5 yards per game on offense. The leader in the category, Texas Tech, has 558.2. The next closest Big Ten team to the Badgers is the Iowa Hawkeyes, who just destroyed Wisconsin, at 326 per game. That's a big difference when you consider the averages per game.

The points per game are worse, as the Badgers are the worst in all of the Power 4 conferences at 15.5. They've only had one game this entire season with more than 17 points, and that was the 42 points scored on Middle Tennessee. Suppose you throw that game out of the averages, since it's truly an outlier. The Badgers are a whopping 10.2 points scored per game.

It gets worse; if you only take Big Ten games, the Badgers are averaging 6.7 points per game. That's not even a touchdown in the three Big Ten games they've played. They've scored 20 total points. To put that in perspective, the lowest-scoring FBS team in the nation is sitting at 9.7 (UMASS).

The Badgers are bad; there's no way around it. The next few games against Ohio State, Oregon, and Washington will make this worse.
