Wisconsin continues to add and add this weekend out of the portal. They may be setting a record for the most portal commitments in two days. The Badgers are up to 10 total, as another player committed while writing this piece. The addition of Justus Boone and now Shamar Rigby and the eight other players in the last two days proves that Chris McIntosh wasn't lying about a bigger financial investment.

It's not just the quantity, though; it's also the quality. While there is a bit of a hodgepodge of "could be" and "is," the fact that there are any players that are ready to rock is different than years past. Boone fits the bill perfectly. He's a senior with one year left, but he's played on the defensive line in the SEC for three years (and a few snaps as a true freshman, preserving his redshirt).

Justus Boone originally committed and was part of the Florida Gators' defense for his first three years in college. After a big sophomore year, he had 24 tackles and one sack. He was expecting more from his redshirt sophomore year, but it was underwhelming. He had only 10 tackles and 0.5 sacks, which led him to the portal in search of a new opportunity.

Last season, as a junior, he played for the Arkansas Razorbacks and had his best season yet on the defensive line, recording 28 tackles and one sack. He's a force along the line and will immediately come into the Badgers looking to make a name in his senior year.

The important thing is that a big commitment from Boone continues to show that Wisconsin is actually investing, and now hopefully that investment pays off with wins on the field next season. 10 is only the start, too.
