Wake up, get ready for the day, open the news cycle, and it hits you right in the face that Wisconsin is overhauling and picking up players like crazy. Luke Fickell is not messing around in this portal, and he's closing in on 20 new players via the portal. He's taken whatever the new investment into the program is seriously, and he continues to add. This morning, it was three players in back-to-back-to-back fashion.
It started with offensive tackle Lucas Simmons from Florida State. It was great timing as Joe Brunner decided to jump into the portal the night before. Simmons is a 6'8, 310-pound tackle who will only be a redshirt sophomore next year and is a former 4-star top recruit.
Then, without even taking a drink of coffee, it was announced that Wisconsin added running back Bryan Jackson from USC. A former 3-star bruiser style back with some moves. He's 6'0 and 235 pounds and has played a rotational role for USC in his last two seasons, getting exactly 36 carries in each year.

If you thought it was time for that sip of coffee, forget it; Luke Fickell was still on a heater and added wide receiver Jaylon Domingeaux to the fold. Domingeaux is one of the best FCS wide receivers who had nearly 1,000 yards receiving last year. He only has one year of eligibility left, and he's going to see what he can do with a Motion W on the side of his helmet.
Domingeaux is an important addition to a depleted wide receiver room. He joins Shamar Rigby as the other transfer portal wide receiver addition.
It's been a wild few days since the portal opened on January 2nd, and it's not even done yet. There are still more places for Luke Fickell to add to the Wisconsin roster.
