Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers have added another commitment out of the transfer portal over the weekend. This time from a long-snapper out of Purdue, Nick Levy. Who will have one year left of eligibility and wants to spend that final year in jump around mode at Wisconsin.

Former Purdue long snapper Nick Levy has committed to play for Wisconsin
Nick Levy is from Ashburn, Virginia, and spent his first two seasons at William & Mary before transferring to Purdue last season. He spent one year as a Boilermaker and with one year left to play gave his final commitment to Luke Fickell.
According to Rivals, Levy is a pretty impressive portal pickup, even at a position where it's hard to gauge the player's ability without stats to rely on. Here's what Dub Jellison of Rivals' Boiler Upload said about Levy when he entered the portal:
"Levy started all 12 games at long snapper for the Boilermakers in 2024, earning a 70.5 Pro Football Focus grade, which was third among Boilermakers that played over 100 special teams snaps last season. Along with that, he earned All-Big Ten honorable mention honors by the coaches for his play."Dub Jellison
The interesting thing about this pickup for the Badgers is that they already added a long snapper in the winter portal, Eli Stein who is also using his final season of eligibility. Stein is also a very accomplished long snapper who was on the Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List for two years running in 2023 and 2024.
It will be interesting to see how this competition plays out, or if an injury or other issue causes Luke Fickell to recruit another long snapper from the portal. Stein is from Cambridge, Wisconsin and transferred in from Arkansas.
