Melvin Gordon is good at a lot of things, most notably football, where he shined at Wisconsin and in the league for four different teams. He's also emerged as a fantastic storyteller. There are now multiple clips out there of Gordon on the "Green Light with Chris Long" podcast, where he has everyone cracking up, especially Wisconsin fans. Last week, we shared a post about his NFL draft experience that was a riot.
Today, it's him talking about his time at Wisconsin, in particular, his time on the practice field with Montee Ball. When Gordon came to the Badgers as a true freshman, Ball was a junior and about to have an epic final two seasons. Gordon was blown away by Ball's ability on the practice field.

Melvin Gordon couldn't believe how Montee Ball approached practice drills
Melvin Gordon was blown away by Montee Ball's ability to go as hard as possible in one drill, finish it, run to the next, and jump to the start of the line. Gordon says there's no way he could keep up with that. He was gassed after just the first one.
He started by just shouting out how great it was that Ball was a mentor to him and how hard he worked at Wisconsin. Then he says, "Can I tell a story real quick?" And the rest of the clip is hilarity. "I was the young guy that liked to go up against the best players, so they matched me up against Montee. Montee dogged me, though."
He said that Ball confessed to him that after that, he actually was tired, but he was committed to showing no weakness, that he just muscled through it. Gordon concludes the story by saying, "I took that formula and kicked everyone's ass next year." That he would stand at the front of the lines fighting demons cause he was tired.
It's a great watch, and the whole episode is worth your time. It's literally Wisconsin running back royalty all on a podcast. You can watch the whole episode here.
