Wisconsin landed a commitment from four-star recruit Cole Reiter on Thursday, adding yet another in-state player to a promising 2027 class.

The 6-foot-7 offensive lineman is a Badger through and through, and he's already working to recruit two other big in-state recruits for Wisconsin. After committing to the Badgers, Reiter told 247Sports that he already has eyes a pair of other local lineman.

“Being a part of the big class of in-state commits, I think that is awesome," said Reiter. “And after this, the big two that I am trying to get are the twins from Hamilton.”

The twins Reiter is referring to are brother Hunter and Reece Mallinger out of Hamilton. They are three-star recruits who also hold offers from Wisconsin, but have yet to make any commitments.

Cole Reiter doesn't waste time getting to work after Wisconsin commitment

With Reiter, he 2027 class for Luke Fickell and company is still fully made up of in-state prospects. It's a far cry from the previous years, where you'd be hard-pressed to find even one or two local products. And what's more, is Reiter is already hitting the recruiting trail hard for Wisconsin, working to add another pair of lineman for Fickell.

The Mallinger brothers might not need very much convincing, though, with both of them getting Crystal Balled to the Badgers already. Still, any help couldn't hurt as Fickell and Wisconsin desperately need some big wins both on and off the field this season. After a 4-8 season, this team is looking for traction anywhere they can get it. For 2027, it looks like they've found it recruiting close to home.

The 2027 class now boasts two four-star recruits in Reiter and tight end Korz Loken, and is ranked 27th in the country. Hopefully the Mallinger boys come aboard soon and really get this class rolling.
