Oregon's newest theme night is an absolute troll job by the Ducks, and it has Wisconsin fans confused on whether to tip their hat, be disrespected, or laugh. It's almost like they've been waiting for decades for Wisconsin to come to Eugene for this themed troll job against the Badgers.
The Ducks planned on October 25, when the Badgers come to town, to do a "Grateful Dead" night, asking fans to wear tie-dye and highlighting the times that the Grateful Dead appeared at Autzen Stadium between 1978 and 1994.
The problem is that the Badgers are known as "The Grateful Red." For some, it's more than just a play on words; it's a sign of how they view Wisconsin... dead. For fans like Big Cat of Barstool, he feels like his favorite band is now being used as an enemy, and he clearly hates it.
This is bullshit to do against the Badgers. #Jail https://t.co/QJgwiv9tN6

The Oregon Ducks plan a "The Grateful Dead" night against the Wisconsin Badgers
There may be a slight backfire on this, as now Wisconsin fans are looking for ways to get to this game and enjoy the theme themselves, and taking some of those tie-dye seats and putting red in them. And don't let Wisconsin fans remind you that out of all the Big Ten teams, the Badgers were the closest to actually beating the Ducks outside of Ohio State.
It seems that the Ducks have circled Wisconsin on the calendar, which is excellent because Wisconsin has also circled Oregon. Many fans know that if the Badgers beat Oregon in that game, last season would have had a drastically different feel to it.
Until the fourth quarter, the game was 13-6 Wisconsin, and the Ducks, under pressure, were able to score 10 unanswered points and ultimately get the win. How sweet would it be to upset the Ducks on national TV on Grateful Dead night in Autzen Stadium?
