Badger Target EJ Walker Opts Instead for South Carolina

After narrowing his search down to four schools, including Purdue, Ohio State, South Carolina and Wisconsin, EJ Walker will commit to the Gamecocks. Walker will unite with former Wisconsin assistant Lamont Paris as the Badgers are left out in the cold.

Walker had taken a visit to campus in April and was one of Greg Gard's target recruits for the better part of a year. He would have joined De Pere's Zack Kinziger as the second member of the 2025 class.

Wisconsin will now have to turn their attention to other recruits, potentially even to in-state star Davion Hannah. The frontcourt cupboard will be a little bare after Steven Crowl and Carter Gilmore graduate next year, so a focus on some big men will need to be a focus.
