It's no secret that the Wisconsin Badgers have an absolutely brutal football schedule coming this year. See the face of the guy holding up Bucky on the far right of the article picture? That's how Wisconsin fans are feeling about this season. There are basically two sure wins (can you even say that?) and one Big Ten "should" win. And the rest you can bet that Wisconsin will be the underdogs.
Let's run through the season, ranking the opponents from easiest to toughest, from most winnable to least winnable. Of course, they are all winnable, but they are also all losable, which is why college football is so great.
12. Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders
The Blue Raiders are the worst team on this list. They are one of only a couple of teams that didn't make a bowl game last season. They only had three wins last season, which came against Tennessee Tech, Kennesaw State, and UTEP.
11. Miami (Ohio) Redhawks
Don't underestimate the Redhawks. While Wisconsin should beat Miami (OH), they aren't some weak FBS rollover program. They won eight regular-season games last year and won their bowl game against Colorado State in the Snoop Dog Bowl. They will come in ready to take on Wisconsin, and the Badgers will need to expose the talent gap to get the win.
10. Maryland Terrapins
The Terrapins are the only Big Ten team that Wisconsin plays next season that finished in the bottom five of the conference. They may have gotten worse rather than better over the offseason. This should be a win for Wisconsin.
9. Minnesota Golden Gophers
The ranking gets a lot tougher from this point on because Wisconsin plays seven of the top eight Big Ten teams from last season. While the next two are not from that top eight, the Golden Gophers and Huskies weren't exactly bottom feeders. However, the Golden Gophers may be the most gettable game for the Badgers out of the Big Ten (besides Maryland) next season.
8. Washington Huskies
The scary part about the Huskies is that Jedd Fisch turns around every program he touches within a couple of seasons. He now enters year two and has reloaded the team up and down. They may be the surprise team in the Big Ten this year, but until that's proven, Wisconsin should find a way to win this one.
Ranking 7-1 on the next page.
