Robin Pingeton, the new head coach of the Wisconsin women's basketball team, is hitting the ground running. She's been very active in the portal and has also been working hard to hire her assistant coaches. Yesterday, she added two coaches to the coaching roster. The names won't be surprising to people who have followed Pingeton's career. They both worked with her for years when she coached at the University of Missouri.

Welcome Coach Bracey to Madison! #OnWisconsin pic.twitter.com/RBA2aZB4ch
Wisconsin women's basketball adds McGhee Mann and Chris Bracey to the coaching staff
Pingeton decided to bring two of her former coaches at Missouri with her to Wisconsin. Bracey has been with Pingeton for seven years, and Mann has moved his way up in the coaching ranks at Missouri, but spent the last season on the bench with her. The news release had this to say about Bracey:
"During his tenure, he played a key role in player development, helping multiple student-athletes earn all-conference and all-defensive team honors while contributing to the overall success of the program. Prior to coaching collegiately, Bracey served as a high school head coach in Illinois and played professionally overseas after his collegiate career at West Texas A&M."Wisconsin Athletics
Bracey came into coaching fairly naturally from playing in college, to overseas, to coaching high school, to eventually landing on Pingeton's staff. Mann, on the other hand, had a bit of a different route. Here's what the Wisconsin Athletics webpage said about Mann:
"Mann arrives in Madison after serving as an assistant coach and video coordinator at Missouri during the 2024-25 season. He previously held positions at Clemson, Arkansas State and Grand Canyon University, where he focused on scouting, player development, and operations. Mann also brings experience from the pros, having worked in basketball operations with the Charlotte Hornets and Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA."Wisconsin Athletics
Both additions are not very surprising, but it will be interesting to see how Pingeton and her staff begin to build a new culture at Wisconsin—hopefully a culture of winning.
