Robin Pingeton is loading up for next season and is clearly not taking the job of improving the roster lightly. She's absolutely hit home run after home run in the transfer portal, adding 6'3 forward Kadidia Toure from LIU and then former 5-star McDonald's All-American guard Addie Deal from Iowa. Now, she's adding a splashy international singing to the mix with the addition of Alicia Courthiau.
Courthia is out of Belgium and is a certified bucket-getter. She averaged 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game for the Belgium U-20 Women's EuroBasket team. She also has no problem shooting the three and shot 55.6% from deep for Belgium in those 10 games. That's an insane mark considering she wasn't shy about firing it up, shooting 18 total threes in that tournament.
A bucket-getter with international experience! 🇧🇪

Courthiau is also not small. There was even some debate when fans saw that she was 5'10, maybe she was a shorter forward and not a guard. But she's a guard both in Belgium and will be in Wisconsin. At 5'10 that's good height for a perimeter player.
This is an important addition for the Badgers as she will pair well with Addie Deal and looks to be a player that can create her own shot but also spot up and shoot. Pingeton can never have too many of those players.
The other thing she brings to the table is experience and maturity. She may be coming in as a freshman, but she's 21 and has plenty of international basketball experience. Pingeton will have a lot of fun with Courthiau. Pingeton said this about the addition, "She'll make an immediate impact with her ability to score, create for others and defend at a high level."
There are still presumably three spots open on the roster, but the starting lineup and rotational depth are starting to take shape, and it's looking impressive for the Wisconsin Badgers next season.
