The best player in the class of 2025 out of Minnesota, Nolan Groves, decommitted from Yale University yesterday, and immediately, three schools jumped into the mix: Texas Tech, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Greg Gard has a tendency to utilize 6'5 shooting guards to an exceptional level, considering the success of John Tonje and Johnny Davis.

According to 24/7 Sports, he is still unranked, but his recruitment has really picked up since he averaged over 34 points a game in his Senior year of high school. Groves has really turned some heads, and he has shifted his attention from the mid-major categories to the high-major categories.

Former Wisconsin star Sam Dekker, who now plays overseas, offered his opinion on what Nolan Groves should do about his recent offer from Wisconsin: " You should probably take it."

Nolan Groves has scheduled a visit to Texas Tech this coming weekend, and not much is known about the rest of his plans for the other schools pursuing him. However, he will need to make a decision fairly soon, as the 2025 class is almost wrapped up.

Greg Gard has already added three players to the 2025 class. Many thought he had closed the door on 2025, but when Groves opened back up his recruitment, Gard and his staff quickly adjusted to go after him. If Groves were to commit, he would join other 2025 Badgers commitments 4-star Zach Kinziger, 3-star Will Garlock, and NR Hayden Jones (from New Zealand).
