Everyone is buzzing after day eight of fall camp. The name that keeps coming to the surface is the flash and bang of Dilin Jones. He continues to generate tremendous hype as he has a way of ripping off impressive plays. About every beat reporter that was at camp today was talking and posting about the young redshirt freshman running back.

According to Evan Flood of On3.com, it was hard to miss his impressive plays because he busted off a 74-yard touchdown towards the beginning of practice. He then had another flashy play when he took a toss for 35 yards.

Flood wasn't the only reporter or fan to be talking about Wisconsin's freshman running back; everyone seemed to be. Nick Osen called it a "Fall Camp Stardom." Which may end up being how we remember Platteville in 2025, the star rising of Dilin Jones.

Dilin Jones is making a strong case to be the opening day starter

Payne Blazevich made sure to note that the runs came off the back of impressive offensive line play, which is precisely what running backs coach Devon Spalding mentioned in his press conference after practice. The running back room is having success because of the "big boys up front."

Spalding mentioned that while Jones has been good, he thinks three or four running backs will end up playing a bunch of snaps this season. The competition for the opening day starter is still open in his mind. However, if Jones continues to put highlight reel play after highlight reel play throughout fall camp and practices back at Madison, he won't be denied the opening carry.

It's a breath of fresh air to have the running back room and the offensive line being the two strong points of the Wisconsin offense, so far. It feels like the world has been set right. Dilin Jones, the running backs around him, and the offensive line are helping bring back the focal point of what has been Wisconsin football for decades.
