The Wisconsin Badgers are bad at football and the Milwaukee Brewers are good at baseball. It's really as simple as that and on Saturday the two teams will be competing for the attention of many of the exact same fans. Wisconsin kicks off in Ann Arbor against the Michigan Wolverines at 11 am CT on Saturday. The Brewers take on their rival the Chicago Cubs at 1:08 pm CT.
The timing will assuredly mean that about midway through the Wisconsin vs. Michigan game, the Brewers game will start, and unless by some miracle the Badgers are actually in that game, fans will simply click off whatever nonsense is happening for Luke Fickell and his crew.
And we have our times for the first two games of the Cubs-Brewers NLDS.

Many Wisconsin Badger fans also moonlight as Milwaukee Brewers fans. The typical season, the Brewers do a good job of getting those fans to football season. However, this season, it's cathardic for Badger fans to have the Brewers, who ended the season as the best team in the National League.
For those fans that do root for both teams, it won't be hard to start the Badger game, get frustrated, switch over to the Brewers, and pretend this whole Luke Fickell season is simply a fever dream. The MLB gave Wisconsin fans an easy out if this game gets out of hand by halftime.
There's a chance that the Badgers keep it close, especially with Fickell himself facing elimination and knowing that a win in Ann Arbor could flip the script and cool off his seat significantly. However, Vegas doesn't think so as the game is nearly up to 18 points in favor of the Wolverines.
ESPN Analytics also doesn't think so, as the Wolverines have an almost 90% probability of winning the game over the Badgers. It has the chance to be ugly, and now, fans can simply move on to October baseball. Maybe that's good news, maybe it's just a reminder of how sad it is to be a Badger fan this season.
