The Wisconsin Badgers jumped up five spots this week from No. 21 to No. 16 after two wins against Indiana and Iowa. They have one of the best resumes in college basketball as they are still one of very few teams not to have lost a quad-2 or worse game. They are 7-5 in quad-1 games and undefeated in the rest. They are now No. 15 in the NET and No. 12 in Ken Pom.
The Badgers continue to put together an amazing season. This is all well and good, but there's one thing that Badger fans noticed and pointed out on social media after the poll came out.
BREAKING: College Basketball AP Poll🚨

First Place Votes: Auburn (34), Alabama (23), Florida (3), Tennessee (1)https://t.co/r0nuBzTJA9 pic.twitter.com/4dQPIqk1yo
Wisconsin Badgers are now ranked No. 16 in the AP Top 25 Poll
One team rose up seven spots, Arizona (now at No. 13), which could have been a focus point as Wisconsin has beaten them. Two teams fell seven spots. One was Maryland, who also Wisconsin fans could have talked about as they are a Big Ten opponent and was a frustrating loss earlier in the year. However, it was the other team that fell seven spots that commanded the attention, Marquette.
The new Men's College Basketball poll is out today. The Wisconsin Badgers moved up 5 spots and are 16th in the nation. The Marquette Golden Eagles slipped 7 spots and are 18th. #Badgers #OnWisconsin #WeAreMarquette

The fact that Marquette has fallen behind Wisconsin in every ranking is much to the delight of Badger fans, who have had to listen to Marquette fans talk about how much better their basketball team is all year. Since the Golden Eagles beat Wisconsin early in the season, it appears that one team is regressing, Marquette and one team is progressing, Wisconsin. Watching Marquette fans wallow in the pain of a 0-2 week is a collective moment on social media right now.

While Wisconsin fans may be laughing about the fall of Marquette, Wisconsin coaches and players are thinking about Purdue on Saturday. It will be a matchup of the No. 7 and the No. 16 in Mackey Arena and will have important Big Ten ramifications.
